L.S. Raised $55 for Global Wildlife Conservation!

All year long, 5th grade Choice students have been participating in the 20/20 Challenge with a focus on deforestation. As part of the Challenge, the group needed to come up with a way to help prevent this global problem. Part of their solution was to raise money for the organization Global Wildlife Conservation and their Acre for Nature program. According to their website, “GWC's Acre For Nature® program focuses on conserving the last habitats for the world's most endangered species. Currently, focal projects are in Guatemala, Colombia, Brazil, and Sri Lanka, with projects under development in other critical areas of the planet.”

As a fundraiser, 5th Grade Choice students will host a Crazy Outfit/Hat Day on Friday, April 18, 2014, for $1. If they meet their goal of $100, some of the teachers will show their GREEN spirit by dying their hair green on Friday, April 25.
