Grade 5 Moon Study & Poetry Slam
Poetry Slam
Ms. Atkin's grade 5 class hosted a Winter Poetry Slam. Students wrote their own poems or memorized and recited published poems. Parents were invited, and everyone enjoyed some winter treats and hot chocolate!
Phases of the Moon
Mr. Beal's grade 5 class invited Ms. Serventi-Gleeson's grade 1 class to learn about the phases of the moon. Students simulated the sun, earth, and moon using a projector, a student's head, and an orange. Older and younger students then worked together on moon phase posters.
