Cold War Simulation

Students in our Cold War elective took part in a simulation where they advised President Kennedy on how to address the Soviet Union's placing of missiles in Cuba in 1962 during a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Security Council.

Student groups presented the President with the following options: diplomatic action, blockade Cuba, or military action. They used primary and secondary sources about the Cuban Missile Crisis to support their arguments and presented how the U.S. should handle the crisis. Great work looking critically at this crucial period in global history!
