Brimmer’s Extended Day Program provides children with a warm, cheerful, and relaxed atmosphere after school. The program provides a supportive play environment, creative activities, and a quiet time to study. It is a true extension of Brimmer as it follows the School’s mission of promoting collaboration and a sense of personal responsibility.

  • How do I sign my student up for Extended Day?

    Parents may click here to enroll a child in Extended Day. Registration for fall and spring sessions opens in August.
  • What are the hours that Extended Day is offered?

    Extended day care is available from dismissal time until 5:30 p.m. After 5:30 p.m., students remaining in Extended Day will be assessed a late fee of $60/hour, charged in 10-minute increments.
  • How much does Extended Day cost?

    The fee for Extended Day is $18 per hour. The drop-in rate is $21 per hour.
  • How do I sign my student up for special activities and clubs?

    Extend the learning and enhance the Brimmer experience: join us for After School Clubs! All Lower School students are invited to participate in the After-School Clubs program. Clubs run one day per week for 6 to 8 weeks, from 3:15 – 4:15 p.m. (unless otherwise noted on the website).

    Register online here. You do not have to enroll your child in Extended Day to participate in clubs, but many families do.
  • Can I use Extended Day on a day-to-day or “drop in” basis?

    Families are asked to register in advance for Extended Day to secure their child’s spot for the semester. To coordinate an alternative arrangement, or if you are in need of “drop in” care, please contact Jamie Semel, Director of Extended Day. It is preferred that you email us that your child will be staying at Extended Day no earlier than one week in advance, and no later than 1 pm on the day of drop-in care.
