US Camp Trip 2023

Camp was a great success and helped students reconnect with classmates from years past and build new bonds. The 12th grade reflected on their time at Brimmer, using words such as welcoming, diverse, community, supportive, and caring to describe their Brimmer experience. They also spoke about their goals as leaders and shared the type of legacy they would like to leave behind.   

 

We held grade-level activities around camp which included water games to help beat the heat. We also enjoyed some free time at the lake, on the fields and basketball court, and making bracelets. The Student Senate planned Brimmer’s Got Talent, and we concluded the evening with a campfire and s’mores. The last morning included the student-run Brimmer Olympics.  

 

We also built in time for our Camp Family program. During this time, Upper Schoolers were divided into small “family groups” with one faculty member and students from each grade. The families from last year received new members to replace those who graduated. Each family was challenged to complete as many tasks on a BINGO card as they could while at camp, and they also ate some meals together. The winning family groups will be treated to special prizes in the weeks to come!  

 

Though much of the day was filled with activities and excitement, there were also stolen moments of calm, like a small group of students sitting on the field chatting and a few that woke up early to watch the sunrise.
