Students Visit French Cultural Center of Boston

In May, twelve students enrolled in beginning and advanced-level French classes took a field trip to the French Cultural Center of Boston. The students took part in a two-hour French cooking workshop conducted entirely in French. Our gracious hosts, Angélique and Pierre-Antoine led the students through a quick lesson on traditional French dishes and guided the students in their preparation of a five-course meal. The courses were all prepared by Brimmer and May students and consisted of nicoise salad, quiche lorraine, salmon-spinach quiches, chocolate mousse, and pear and chocolate crumble cake. Both students and faculty enjoyed the five-course meal together at the end of the workshop, leaving with plenty of leftovers and fun memories! Faculty chaperones included Brimmer and May Upper-School French teachers Ms. Rona Mattocks and Ms. Diana Scharrer.
