• ROBERT B. ALMY, JR. SCHOLARSHIP

  Established in 2019 in memory of Robert B. Almy, Jr., Trustee 1968-1986, Trustee Emeritus from 1986-2018, given by his daughter, Leslie Stimmel Guggiari Class of 1973. This scholarship is given each year to an Upper School student who shows curiosity about our interdependent world and seeks out opportunities to strengthen their global intelligence.

• ALPERIN FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

  The Alperin Family Scholarship was established in 2014 in honor of Jessie Alperin ’14 and was restructured in 2021 in honor of Avery Alperin ’21 as well. Two scholarships are awarded yearly at the Brimmer and May Honors Convocation: the first to a student who shows promise in the humanities and community service in reflection of Jessie ’14 and the second to a student who shows talent in the STEAM disciplines and a strong commitment to community service in honor of Avery '21.                                                                                                                                    

• CHRISTOPHER AND CAROLYN DAWSON SCHOLARSHIP

  This scholarship was created in memory of Christopher Dawson and Carolyn Dawson, Trustee, and the parents of Christopher Class of 2003 and Nicholas Class of 2008. The scholarship is awarded to a student who has met high academic standards and who has demonstrated a strong commitment to Brimmer and May's mission.

• NANCY DROURR SCHOLARSHIP

  The Nancy Sobin Drourr Class of 1966 Scholarship Fund was established by the Board of Trustees in 2011 upon Nancy’s retirement as Director of Development at Brimmer and May. This award is given to a Brimmer and May student who not only has achieved high academic marks, but also loves the school and takes advantage of all it has to offer and who, in the judgement of the administration, will continue to stay connected long after graduation.

• NATHAN GREENE SCHOLARSHIP

  Established in 2016 by his father in recognition of his 14 years as a student at Brimmer and May, the Nathan Greene '16 Scholarship is given out annually to a Brimmer and May student who exemplifies community involvement, promising academics, and school spirit.

• MARY JANE HOEY SCHOLARSHIP

  Established in memory of Mary Jane Hoey, Class of 1972, this scholarship is presented each year to an underclassperson who pursues academic excellence with perseverance and enthusiasm.

• LYNCH SCHOLARSHIP

  The Lynch Scholarship was established in 2004 with an endowment gift from The Lynch Foundation. It is given out each year to a Brimmer and May student in the Upper School who demonstrates academic achievement and community involvement.

• BARBARA SHOOLMAN SCHOLARSHIP

  The Barbara Shoolman Scholarship Fund was endowed by Mrs. Shoolman as well as her friends and family, and it is symbolic of Mrs. Shoolman’s legacy of unwavering devotion to the Brimmer and May School. This award is given to the Upper School student who shared Mrs. Shoolman's commitment to Brimmer and May and best exemplifies the School's core values of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Kindness, and Equity.

• TROUBALOS SCHOLARSHIP

  The Anastasia N. Troubalos Class of 1971 Scholarship Fund was established in 2014 with a gift from the estate of Anastasia Troubalos. Anastasia loved Brimmer and May and directed in her will that the scholarship be given to a student in the Upper School who has an excellent academic record and loves the Brimmer and May School.

• RUTH WHITTAKER WHALEN SCHOLARSHIP

  Established in 1982 to honor Ruth Whittaker Whalen, former English teacher and Director of Development and Alumni Affairs, this scholarship is awarded to an Upper School student who is successful in the classroom and who cares for others.
